Morse-It App Reviews

Nice program and great trainer.

Just leaned Morse using this app. Also love being able brush up now and then. The new update does seem to not like the lowercase settings. Checked on iPad and iPhone 5..still no lowercase. Great price too, thanks!

Functionally rich, the best for a newbie

For learning from scratch; this is by far the best. Lots of learning options and references. Far superior to the other 3 I paid for. My only asks would be for some better info on how to use it ( it takes some experimentation) and improved skin.

Works Great !

My favorite part of this app is the DECODE. Use it all the time to practice with. Recently I upgraded my smart phone, went to this app, after iCloud restored all my apps, but the DECODE no longer worked ! A quick text to Morse-it, they replied back quickly, and fixed my problem ( mic turned off ) What can I say, except very impressed, with ALL the features on this app.

Fabulous.

Best Morse code app Ive used or seen..

Enjoyable CW app

Works well without a bunch of glitches. The in-app purchase is definitely worth the money. This app is the best of all the CW / Morse Code apps Ive tried.

Not so good

On the decode where the app is supposed to translate the morse code the microphone pics up seems to decode only Ts, Es, Is, and :-( Even when the morse code provided is from an electronic source like that from a 2 meter repeater identification transmission.

Great app! Lots of options. Make an iOS 8 keyboard please!

This is a wonderful app. The best morse code app out there. It would be great for you to develop a morse keyboard app for iOS. That way you dont have to export your code. In the app It would also be nice to have a one button export feature. Also it would be great to have a backspace button that is more accessible in an iambic mode. The novice mode is too novice. Give me a mode where I dont have to hit a confirmation check box, but I have a backspace button instead. I really like using the iOS keyboard morse app called morseboard. I really like the backspace button there.

Great App

Does everything I needed it to. And a great price!

tech

good so far, almost self explanatory

Good

Thank you!

Excellent

Helping me a lot to achieve my desired goal of 20 wpm

Great way to learn (or relearn) Morse!

Great application !

A Decent App

Before you consider buying this, please know that the .99 cent version only comes with certain abilities: encoding, decoding, and a place to tap out your own Morse. It comes with a glossary of all the basic Morse letters and numbers, but it does not teach it to at this advertised price. You will need to pay premium. Still, a good app. Fun and entertaining.

Great great really great

This app is super great. If you want learn the code, please buy this app.

Invaluable

Depending on how serious you are in learning & using CW, this app provides invaluable learning support. The phones flash can actually save your neck one day if you long range night communication.

Morse It

Possibly the best Samuel F. B. Morse code learning tool I have ever used, and its Free. If you are a young ham starting to explore CW I believe that this is the application you might want to start your Amateur Radio Service in CW. Phone is nice, but if you can copy and send CW, I dont think you will ever want to return to the human voice. I am not implying that I am an Electrical Engineer, but look at Penn States Alumni list. My Father whom I loved in life,as well as. He passed on January 29th, 1991 and would be an SK if he had lived long enough to receive a license. He was happiest as a SWL. I remember me, as a kid, and my Father. Told me how he thought "73" came to be.

One of the best

This app has a lot of nice features, some of which I personally dont find useful. The CWops training is worth the price of admission alone. It would be nice to be able to add text files to be played in morse code. Another feature that would be good is to play back QSOs as well as random callsigns. If anyone finds that the sound generated doesnt sound natural, try setting the volume down to 10% in the general settings. I highly recommend this app (with the add on). By itself it isnt a tool, its a toy.

It reads your morse code!

Its pretty cool. You just type in the Morse code and it translates it into letters in real time.

99 cent version useless

Not much function in the 99 cent version, mostly advertising for in app purchases.

Awesome

A great teacher, translator, and friend!!! Makes me feel safer to know how to type "s.o.s" with a light or a tap! Great app easy to use and even better to have fun with!
